Downderry Wines is an award winning boutique vineyard in the heart of Western Australia's Golden Outback.
The winery was founded by Rex and Jan Hayes and family in 1997
The vines grow on what was a working farm for many years. The soil is well matured mixture of rich loam and gravel over clay, and ideal for the growing of a variety of grapes to make quality wines.
In the 15 years since the vines were planted our vintages have steadily improved to what are now Award Winning Wines.
Although not in an recognised grape growing area we produce excellent fruit to produce award winning wines. We invite everyone to call in and sample our wines or cheeses or maybe you may prefer a cup of tea ,coffee and something to eat. Plenty of parking and enjoy the serenity and view when you stop. Children are welcome and anyone can feed the animals. We are open Friday To Monday but if the gate is open we will welcome you. Many medals have been won but most recently a gold and silver for our Shiraz and Chenin Blanc.
